If you are looking for something a little adventureous on your honeymoon but you still want to be able to sit on the beach when you feel like it, then Playa del Carmen is the place to be!
The Playa has fabulous hotels right on the beach, with amazing views of the water. The two of you will love it! The town has a wide range of activities like tennis, snorkeling, glass bottom boat rides, sport fishing, scuba, snorkeling, shopping, shopping, and more shopping. However, the most impressive activity on the Mayan Riviera is the diving. Whether you are an experienced diver or just want to take your first dive, there are few places better to share with your non-diving spouse or friends.
If you decide that scuba diving is not for you, Playa del Carmen's many attractions are great for relaxing in the sun and taking the occasional dip in the ocean. Mayan ruins are a day-trip and Cancun is just up the road, although Playa's nightclubs are now giving them a run for their money.
